Attended by more than 15000 people in 11 sold-out concerts, the traditional New Year Concerts at Konzerthaus Berlin set new musical standards. The programme this year included pieces by Rossini, Puccini, Elgar, Johann Strauss and Verdi. The Deutsche Filmorchester Babelsberg played under the baton of Claus Efland. For the New Year Concerts in 2015 at the Berliner Konzerthaus, Efland will be back on the rostrum for the fifth time.
