On the 5th of February 2017, Claus Efland led a live screen performance of Charlie Chaplin´s "City Lights". Efland conducted the Bardi Symphony Orchestra and the sell-out performance was received with standing ovation. The Leicester Mercury reported: "Claus Efland had the measure of the film achieving tight synchronisation throughout".
